Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage in Pennsylvania. Providers can expect a balanced schedule, a variety of complex cases, and robust APP and RN support across both hospital settings.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call: 1:2 weeknight rotation and every other weekend
- Weekend call provider also covers Wednesday/Thursday the following week; alternating coverage for Mon/Tues and Fri–Sun
- Rounding: 4–5 hours daily (10–12 patients) with APP support
- Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks per month
- EMR: Epic
Case Types
- CABG
- Aortic and Mitral valve replacement or repair
- Ascending aortic root procedures
- TAVR
- Lung resections/lobectomies
- Mediastinoscopy
- Robotic surgery experience preferred, but not required
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association, in-person only)
- Pennsylvania license preferred; IMLC with LOQ accepted
