Locums OB Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums OB Hospitalist Physician to provide high-quality inpatient obstetric care at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Webster, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of OB experience and a strong background in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour or 24-hour shift options in a collaborative and well-supported hospital environment.

 

Assignment Details:

 

• Shift Options:
• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• 24-hour Shifts or Reverse 24-hour Shifts available
• Schedule: Ongoing coverage; flexible shift selection available
• Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based OB service

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Provide comprehensive obstetric hospitalist coverage, including labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum care.
• Manage both routine and high-risk obstetric patients.
• Perform deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures as needed.
• Provide triage assessments and respond to emergent maternal and fetal conditions.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document all patient encounters and treatments accurately in the hospital’s EMR system.
• Participate in obstetric emergencies and rapid response situations.

 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Minimum of 5 years of OB experience required
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NRP certification preferred
