**Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgeon | Clinic + Call | Olympia, WA (IMLC accepted)**
**Why This Role**
- Provide high-acuity cardiothoracic surgical coverage supporting both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Join a collaborative, established cardiac surgery program with dedicated APP and nursing support.
- Opportunity to participate in both clinic-based patient management and operative call rotations.
**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
- Schedule: 24-hour coverage two weekends per month and one week of clinic coverage monthly or every other month (7a–5p with night call)
- Start: February 2026
- Duration: Ongoing
- Call: Beeper; 1:3 rotation, 20-minute response time
- Admissions Required: No
- Privileges: Required (temporary privileges not available)
**Clinical Details**
- Average Patients per Day: 2–5
- Support Staff: 3 APPs, 2 MAs, 1 office staff
- Procedures and Skills include:
- Coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump required, off pump preferred)
- Valvular repair and replacement
- Aneurysm repair (cardiac required; aorto-thoracic preferred)
- Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
- Insertion of central, arterial, and PA catheters
- Insertion of intra-aortic balloon pump (preferred)
- General open and endoscopic cardiothoracic procedures
- Lung resection (including VATS)
- Chest wall and pleural procedures
- Ventilation management and bronchoscopy
**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Washington license or IMLC
- Fellowship trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience preferred
- 90-day credentialing timeframe
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
