**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Setting: Inpatient Acute Psychiatry
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (start time flexible; must attend 9:00 AM treatment team)
- Start: ASAP
- End: Ongoing
- Call: Beeper call for assigned patients; phone availability until 5 PM
- Average Daily Census: 16–18 patients
- Admissions: ~5 per day
- Discharges: ~2 per day
- Beds: 77 total (21 on assigned unit)
- Privileges: Not required
- Credentialing: 30–45 days (expedited privileges available)
- EMR: HCS for orders, Fluency Flex for notes
- Support Staff: 1 NP in hospital

**Clinical Details**
- Inpatient psychiatric coverage for adult patients.
- Provide assessment, medication management, and treatment planning.
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings and coordinate care with nursing and therapy staff.
- Manage a range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety, affective, psychotic, and personality disorders.
- Engage in pharmacotherapy and family therapy as appropriate (no ECT or group therapy required).

**Requirements**
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
- Active North Carolina medical license
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable managing 16–18 inpatients per day
- Experience with acute psychiatric care preferred

**Compensation**
