Job Description
Locum tenens opportunity for Emergency Medicine physicians providing coverage at the main hospital and a new Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) in Bradenton, FL (FSED opened Summer 2024).
Start / Credentialing
- Start: Summer 2024 (specific date TBD)
- Credentialing: allow up to 2 months
Schedule / Commitment
- Minimum: 4–6 shifts per month
- Shift types: day and night shifts available
- Facility provides 24-hour physician coverage daily
- Flexible scheduling
Clinical & Facility Details
- FSED: 12 exam rooms, advanced onsite imaging (CT, ultrasound, radiology)
- Annual FSED volume: ~8,000+ visits
- EMR: Meditech P-doc with M-Modal dictation
- Patients requiring admission are transferred seamlessly to the main hospital
- You will work with Emergency Medicine residents at the main hospital
Required Qualifications
- Emergency Medicine trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible (required)
- ATLS certification (minimum; required)
- Active Florida medical license (required)
- DEA registration (required)
