Practice Highlights
Only GI group in Catawba County
High-volume practice: ~11,000 colonoscopies/year, ~3,500 EGDs/year
Call rotation: 1:7 (approx. 4–5 days/month)
Team: 9 physicians, 6 APPs
Dedicated Medical Assistants for each physician
Clinic: 17–20 patients/day after ramp-up
Procedures performed at fully equipped Endoscopy Center and hospital ORs
Morning procedures, afternoon clinic follow-ups
Rotating scope/surgery schedule between Endoscopy Center and hospital
EUS experience preferred but not required
Clinic Overview
20 exam rooms, private physician offices
Infusion room on site; other ancillaries through regional hospital
Adult and geriatric patient population
Endoscopy Center: 3 GI suites, Olympus 190 scopes, 12–14 procedures/day per room
Full anesthesia coverage 24/7
Fast Track program with 90% conversion rate for procedures
Call & Hospital Coverage
1:7 rotation for hospital and ED call
Weeknights: 5 PM–7 AM; Weekends: Sat 7 AM–Mon 7 AM
No inpatient rounding during call hours
Hospitalist coverage: 7 AM–5 PM, 1 week rotation, supported by dedicated APP
No outpatient or clinic procedures during hospitalist week
Requirements
Board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist
Motivated and ready to join a collaborative, high-volume practice
