We’re seeking a board-certified cardiologist to provide inpatient coverage at a busy Everett, WA hospital. This locum tenens opportunity is supplemental coverage, starting Oct 6, 2025 and continuing ongoing. You’ll join a team of six physicians with support from three NPs/PAs, caring for adult patients in a 615-bed, Level II trauma center with a 10-bed ICU.

Schedule and coverage

  • Clinical shifts: Mon–Sun, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Night call: 5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. (beeper call, 20-minute response time)
  • Specific shifts needing coverage:
    • Clinical + Call: Dec 25–28; Jan 2–4
    • Clinical only: Dec 30; Jan 1
    • Call only: Dec 24; Dec 29; Dec 31
  • Patient volume: typically 15–18 adult patients per shift

Clinical environment and responsibilities

  • Inpatient cardiology focus including ICU care
  • Supervision of APPs is required
  • Onsite resources: lab, treadmill, echocardiography, EKG, and cath lab
  • Required procedural experience: transthoracic and transesophageal echo (TEE), nuclear cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Hospital privileges required

  • Active Washington medical license
  • Board certified in Cardiology
  • Ability to work inpatient shifts and night call
