Coverage Period and Shifts
- Coverage dates: Nov 16 – Dec 15, 2025
- Specific shifts to fill: Nov 6–10; Nov 24; Dec 1; Dec 8–15
- Call schedule: 24-hour call (7a–7a)
Clinical Volume & Scope
- Annual deliveries: 746
- Nursery admissions: <10/day
- Nursery level: II
- Beds in department: 17 (12 postpartum, 5 birthing suites)
- Support staff: Registered Nurses; midwives take call and deliver their own patients
- Low volume of C-sections; only OBGYN in practice for coverage
Procedures & Responsibilities
- Routine and complicated deliveries
- Decision-making for and performing C-sections as needed
- Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC) management
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Facility & Systems
- On-site lab and ultrasound
- EMR: Epic
Compensation & Logistics
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements
- Active KY medical license or participation in IMLC
- Board Certified (BC)
- BLS
- DEA
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred
