JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Mississippi State License
- Board:
- Nurse Practitioner Board Certified through AANP or ANCC (FNP)
- Physician Assistant Certified through NCCPA
- DEA: Active DEA with Controlled Substance Permit (CSPA)
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS required
- Experience: Prior emergency medicine experience preferred
- Other Qualifications: Must maintain 40 CME credits, case logs, and supervising protocol
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients across all acuity levels
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical emergencies
- Perform procedures within the approved scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and initiate treatment plans
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and coordination of care
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and compliance standards
