Locum Tenens OBGYN Physician — Inpatient Call Coverage (Clyde, NC)

Location: Clyde, NC — Inpatient coverage

Overview:
Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible OB/GYN for locum tenens call-only coverage beginning November 6, 2025 and ongoing. This role supplements a single-physician practice and includes rounding responsibilities in a department with 11 beds and an annual delivery volume of ~215.

Schedule and Coverage:

• Call-only: 24-hour shifts (8:00 AM–8:00 AM)
• Call type: beeper; call ratio 1:3
• Required on-site response time: 30 minutes
• Expected callback rate: 60%
• Typical patient volume while on call: 2–6 patients
• Phone consults per shift: 3–6
• Admissions per shift: ~1

Clinical Responsibilities and Procedures:

• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Obstetric ultrasound (Level I & II)
• Amniocentesis
• Routine and complicated deliveries, including 3rd & 4th degree laceration repair
• General gynecologic surgery
• Rounding included

Practice Support and Systems:

• Current staff: 1 OBGYN, 3 RNs, 15 office staff
• EMR: Paragon
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina medical license
• BC/BE in OBGYN
• ACLS and NRP certifications
• Clean NPDB report
• Minimum 2 years experience with electronic fetal monitoring
• Up-to-date immunizations
