Full-time Otolaryngology opportunity in Columbus, NE — outpatient-focused clinical practice with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (three clinic days, one surgery day, one administrative day). Coverage is clinical only.

Practice scope and patient population

  • Treats all ages with a general ENT caseload including sinus surgery, hearing disorders, and head & neck conditions.
  • Average daily patient volume: 20–30.
  • Provides consultations and follow-up care as clinically indicated.

Clinical setting and team

  • Integrated into a comprehensive surgical services department at a Level III trauma center.
  • EMR: Paragon Allscripts.
  • Full specialty and surgical backup across the hospital system.
  • Support staff: 1 FTE ENT, 1 PTE ENT with weekend call coverage, 1 FTE NP, 2 RNs, 4 LPNs, and 1 PRN PA for surgical assist.
  • Reports to the Medical Director, Surgery Department.
  • Opportunity available due to retirement of the previous long-term ENT physician.

Procedures and responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive ENT care including evaluation, diagnosis, nonoperative management, and surgical treatment.
  • Perform ENT surgeries using TruDi Sinus Navigation and Olympus endoscopy equipment.
  • Manage clinic consultations and follow-ups; maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology.
  • Active Nebraska medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA.
  • Open to both new graduates and experienced physicians.
