Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician — Outpatient-Focused (Marquette, MI) with Call & APP Supervision

Join a Hematology & Oncology locum tenens team providing primarily outpatient care with minimal inpatient involvement in Marquette, MI. This role offers supplemental coverage beginning January 5, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis. Clinical responsibilities include direct patient care and periodic beeper call coverage (1:2 call ratio) with a 15-minute response expectation and occasional nights/weekends. Rounding for inpatients is typically managed by APPs.

Schedule and Volume

• Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., two weeks per month
• Patient mix: ~95% outpatient, ~5% inpatient
• Typical volume: 10–15 patients per day
• Time per patient: New consults — 60 minutes; Follow-ups — 30 minutes
• Phone consults: 0–5 per shift

Clinical Team & Support

• 13 RNs, 3 APPs (supervision required), 13 clerical staff
• 2 navigators, 2 pharmacists, 1 pharmacy tech
• 1 lab tech, 1 office manager, 1 clinical director
• 1 social worker, 2 financial counselors, 1 program director, 1 care manager
• Weekly tumor board participation expected
• EMR: Cerner
• Trauma level: II
• Hospital privileges required

Credentials & Logistics

• Required: Active Michigan medical license, board certification in Hematology & Oncology, BLS and ACLS
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

This is a clinical plus call assignment focused on high-quality outpatient oncology care with robust multidisciplinary support.
