We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Cumberland, MD. This clinical-only assignment supports both inpatient and outpatient palliative care, supplementing the existing team. Coverage begins November 24, 2025 and is ongoing; initial shifts are needed from Nov 24–Dec 12. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with daily rounding and 3–5 admissions per day. Patient population is 100% adult. The facility uses Epic and is a Level III trauma center. Hospital privileges are required (temporary privileges available). Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Minimum requirements:
- Active MD license or participation in IMLC
- BC/BE in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience
