Locum-to-Permanent Radiation Oncologist — Dubuque, IA (Full-Time, SBRT/IMRT Experience)

We’re seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a locum-to-permanent opportunity in Dubuque, Iowa. This is a clinical-only role covering both inpatient and outpatient services, with a schedule of 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (30-minute lunch), four weeks per month, full-time. Coverage is needed ASAP and is ongoing.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage an outpatient caseload of about 20–25 patients on treatment, including weekly treatment visits, follow-ups, and consults.
• Provide minimal inpatient coverage (typically 0–1 patients; some rounding).
• Deliver a range of radiation therapies: conventional & 3D radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, photon beam therapy, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy.
• Work with the facility’s Aria EMR.

Practice environment

• Service setting: inpatient and outpatient
• Trauma level: II
• Current on-site physician: 1 (not a Radiation Oncologist)
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

• Active Iowa medical license or participation in the IMLC
• Board certified in Radiation Oncology
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• Clean professional record
• Availability to start ASAP after credentialing
• Must be able to cover four-week stretches at a time
• Experience with Aria preferred
• Local candidates or those within driving distance preferred
