Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Assignment

• Type: Locum Tenens (Supplemental coverage)
• Coverage Period: Nov 1, 2025 – ongoing
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Schedule: Mon–Fri; primary shift options 7:30a–4:00p, 7:00a–3:30p or 8:00a–4:30p. Full-time or 22 shifts/month.
• Call: Beeper; every other week (details TBD)

Clinical Volume & Patient Mix

• Patient population: Adults only
• New consults: 2–3/day; ~8–12/week (shared with second physician)
• Re-evaluations: 1/day
• Follow-ups: 2/day
• Treatments: ~30 treatments/day
• Case mix: Breast, lung, prostate, and other sites

Responsibilities

• Tuesday: manage all on-treatment patients
• Monday–Friday: perform simulations and image review
• Wednesday: chart rounds at 8:00a
• Tuesday afternoons: network peer review
• Will work solo in department

Procedures & Technologies

• External beam: 2D, 3D, IMRT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS
• Brachytherapy: cylinders
• Equipment: 2 linacs (Trilogy & EDGE TrueBeam), GE Lightspeed 16-slice widebore CT
• EMR: Aria RO / Epic / IP PowerChart

Support Staff

• APPs available
• Physics: 2 physicists, 2 dosimetrists
• Therapists & nursing: 6 radiation therapists, 3 RNs
• Administrative: 2 front office, 1 financial counselor

Credentials & Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board certified
• DEA registration
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Local or drive-in candidates highly preferred
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available)
