Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist — Forty Fort/Wilkes-Barre, PA (Clinical + Call)

Seeking a BC/BE Interventional Radiologist for locum tenens coverage in Forty Fort/Edwardsville/Wilkes-Barre, PA. This role supports inpatient and outpatient services on an ASAP–ongoing basis and includes clinical duties plus beeper call (30-minute response). Shift and call schedule TBD.

Coverage & Logistics

• Coverage type: Supplemental clinical coverage + call
• Call: Beeper; 30-minute response
• Start: ASAP – ongoing
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available

Key Clinical Expectations

• Must be able to perform at least two of the following areas (candidates offering Mammo/Breast Biopsy are highly preferred):
  • Mammography/Breast biopsy (needle localization, fine needle)
  • Interventional Radiology with Diagnostic Radiology (IR & DX), or IR & Fluoro, or IR & Cardiac
• Able and willing to perform procedures and cover IR and/or diagnostic call (except when covering mammo/biopsy exclusively)

Required Procedures & Skills

• CT: general, angiography, biopsies, aspirations/drainage
• General radiology: plain films, chest radiography, bone density (DEXA)
• Fluoroscopy: general exams and barium GI studies
• Mammography: interventional procedures (needle localization, FNA)
• MRI: general imaging including musculoskeletal, neuro, joint, and MRA
• Non-vascular interventions: aspirations/drainage, percutaneous needle biopsies, extractions
• Special procedures: abscess drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, myelography, pain management
• Ultrasound (including advanced studies/procedures) and vascular/interventional techniques

Credentials & Requirements

• Active PA medical license or participation in IMLC
• Board certified or board eligible in Radiology/Interventional Radiology
• Current ACLS and BLS
• Enrollment in PCF (required)
• Active DEA (provide DEA number)
• Current CSR
• Candidate must reside 90+ miles from the facility
