Hybrid Private/Academic Maternal-Fetal Medicine Practice Seeking An OB Hospitalist
ResponsibilitiesWe are recruiting a BC/BE Ob Hospitalist to join our MFM team at Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, CA.
- Hospitalist responsibilities include high risk delivery attendance, patient evaluation/management, fetal monitoring and ER coverage
- High risk OB patients only/no GYN responsibilities
- Ob-Gyn residents and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows
- Affiliated group of Neonatologists
- Collaboration with Community Physicians
- Level IV NICU with full pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty support including a pediatric cardiovascular program
- 24-hour in-house shifts
About The Area
Known as the “Waterfront Center of Southern California,” Long Beach is located about 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles bordering the northern edge of Orange County. The area enjoys a lovely Mediterranean climate with an average of 333 sunny days per year. There are 5.5 miles of breathtaking waterfront to enjoy by bicycle or foot. A variety of established residential neighborhoods to fit every income bracket and style is available.

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team members who meet the plan’s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible.
Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.
Paid Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 40 hours or five days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.
NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
