Full Time Position

An experienced or highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is sought to join an established Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team, supporting a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon. This position is primarily clinic-based, focusing on the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.

Position Overview

Full-time position based in Salida or Buena Vista, Colorado
Primarily outpatient clinic responsibilities
No operating room or call coverage required

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient evaluations, follow-ups, and post-operative visits in collaboration with the supervising surgeon
Manage acute and chronic upper extremity conditions, including splinting and injection procedures
Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as imaging and labs
Coordinate patient care across therapy, imaging, and surgical services
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Current or eligible Colorado license and board certification
Orthopedic experience preferred; hand and upper extremity experience highly valued
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on patient-centered care
