Full Time Position

A compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is sought to join a General Surgery team in a clinic-only role. This position focuses exclusively on outpatient care, supporting pre-operative and post-operative visits, wound checks, and ongoing patient management.

Position Overview

Full-time, outpatient-only position
No operating room or call responsibilities
Located in the beautiful Upper Arkansas Valley region of Colorado

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of general surgery patients in an outpatient setting
Conduct pre- and post-operative visits, wound assessments, and follow-up care under physician supervision
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Current or eligible Colorado licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent)
1–2 years of surgical or related clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong surgical rotations are encouraged to apply
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
