Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a community-focused hospital in Park Rapids, Minnesota. This assignment offers consistent monthly scheduling, flexible shift options, and the opportunity to work in a supportive emergency department serving a diverse patient population.

 

Position Details:

 

• Setting: Emergency Department – Inpatient
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Shift Schedule:
• 12-hour shifts
• Both day and night shifts available
• Monthly Commitment: 8–10 shifts per month
• Weekend Requirements: Included as part of the schedule
• Start Date: Beginning December, ongoing

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Provide full-spectrum Emergency Medicine care to patients of all ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute and emergent conditions
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate transfers as needed
• Perform standard emergency procedures such as intubation, central lines, suturing, splinting, and more
• Collaborate with ED nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care
• Document all encounters accurately in the facility’s EMR system

 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  (FM/IM with strong EM experience may be considered per facility preference)
• Active Minnesota Medical License (or ability to obtain)
• Active DEA
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience required
