Locum Tenens Licensed Psychologist — Correctional Mental Health (Portage, WI)

We’re seeking a licensed psychologist to join a correctional facility in Portage, WI on a locum tenens basis. This assignment starts ASAP, runs for 26 weeks, and follows a weekday shift from 7:45 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is $125/hr.

What you’ll bring

• Doctoral degree in Psychology and current licensure by the Wisconsin Psychology Examining Board.
• Solid familiarity with DSM diagnostic criteria, evidence-based treatments, and correctional mental health practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff and multidisciplinary teams.

What you’ll do

• Conduct psychological assessments, testing, and risk evaluations.
• Deliver mental health treatment, ongoing monitoring, and crisis intervention.
• Make clinical determinations about placement or removal from observation or restraint status.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and prepare required reports.
• Collaborate closely with DOC staff and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
