Job Description

Summary:

Adelphi is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to perform advanced vocational nursing services at a facility in Lubbock County, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide treatment, support, and general welfare services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical, mental health, and behavioral needs.

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered LVN license issued in the State of Texas
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred in long-term or developmental care
  • Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Competency in advanced nursing skills (e.g., gastrostomy tubes, enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies)
  • Meet all immunization requirements as outlined by the agency and facility
  • Successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (candidate's responsibility)
  • Successfully complete an FBI fingerprint background check (provided)
  • COVID-19 testing with a negative result is required (testing provided)
  • Completion of all pre-employment training mandated by the agency and facility
  • Present a valid photo ID and provide TB documentation at the time of interview

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
  • Monitor patients’ health and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or physician
  • Accurately document care activities and complete computer-based data entry (training provided)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., ICF-IDD, facility SOPs)
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures including gastrostomy tubes, enteral feedings, Foley catheters, and tracheostomies
