Schedule: Primarily 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; will alternate shifts as needed. Must be available every other weekend.
Start Date: Flexible after completion of compliance/onboarding (5 business days)
Pay Rate: $33–$36/hr

Summary:
Provide nursing care, treatment, and support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, mental health, or behavioral needs in a residential setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered LVN license issued by the State of Texas
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience; 2+ years preferred in long-term care or developmental disability services
  • Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Competency in advanced skills (gastrostomy/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies)
  • Meet agency and facility immunization requirements
  • Pass urine drug screen and background check (candidate responsibility)
  • Complete FBI fingerprint background check (provided)
  • Negative COVID-19 test (testing provided)
  • Complete all required pre-employment training
  • Present valid photo ID and TB documentation at interview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments per orders and clinical guidelines
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures (gastrostomy/enteral feedings, Foley catheter care, tracheostomy care)
  • Monitor and assess residents; report changes to supervising RN or physician promptly
  • Accurately document care and complete required electronic data entry (training provided)
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (e.g., ICF‑IDD, facility SOPs)
  • Provide person-centered, compassionate care to residents

Compliance and Onboarding:

  • Completion of pre-employment checks and training required prior to start
  • Expected turnaround for onboarding: approximately 5 business days
