Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, juvenile correctional, and/or emergency nursing
• Able to work independently as the only nurse on-site for part of the shift
• Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth equipment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Must attend orientation on Oct. 7–8 (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) and the remainder of that week (7:00 AM–3:30 PM); attendance may be in person or online with camera on

Core Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the full scope of RN practice for adolescent patients
• Safely administer medications and treatments in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Monitor, assess, and document patient health status and changes
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic health records
• Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity and safety of care
• Use telehealth equipment and participate in virtual consultations as needed
• Support overall health, safety, and wellness in a secure residential environment
• Complete facility orientation and required ongoing training
