LPN/LVN – Night Shift Long Term Care (Kane, PA)

Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: Rotating weekends
Start Date: ASAP

Summary:
Provide licensed practical nursing care in a long-term care setting, following facility policies and state regulations to meet resident needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and personal care to residents using established nursing theory and practices.
• Perform observations, report and document resident status, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Safely operate, care for and maintain equipment.
• Follow infection control (medical asepsis) and body mechanics principles.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members; follow written and verbal directives.
• Contribute to cost containment through efficient time use and proper equipment care.
• Maintain professional, courteous behavior toward residents, visitors and coworkers.

Required Qualifications:

• Current LPN license in Pennsylvania or a temporary work permit at time of interview.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Knowledge of: medical asepsis, body mechanics, personal care of residents, equipment use/care, observation techniques, reporting/recording, and application of nursing theory.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and observation skills; ability to accept and follow directives.

Preferred:

• Nursing home/long-term care experience.
• COVID-19 vaccination.
