Join our Newport, VT team as a full-time Occupational Therapist. This position starts ASAP with a typical schedule of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Requirements:
- Current Occupational Therapy state license or documentation of eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing reexamination to establish diagnoses, functional goals, and therapeutic progression.
- Design, fabricate, or prescribe adaptive devices and train patients and caregivers in their use.
- Select and implement therapeutic activities tailored to patients’ abilities, needs, and interests; instruct patients in functional skills and assess progress.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff as required.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation team members and refer patients to other disciplines or community agencies when appropriate.
- Maintain timely clinical and billing documentation, adhere to treatment schedules, and participate in patient care conferences and work-related meetings.
- Ensure a safe environment by identifying and eliminating fire and safety hazards.
- Order, clean, maintain equipment and supplies, and report repair needs.
- Prioritize patient-centered care and perform other duties as assigned by management.
