Adelphi seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide one-to-one, school-based nursing for a student with severe disabilities in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This on-site, temporary contract role follows the school calendar and requires daily travel with the student on school transportation.

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri LPN license in good standing
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Minimum of 1 year pediatric, school, or developmental-disability experience preferred
• Must pass Family Care Safety Registry and FBI fingerprint background checks
• Maintain professional liability insurance per state requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within an educational team

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct, one-to-one nursing care to a student during school hours and while traveling to/from home
• Deliver medical services and interventions outlined in the student’s IEP and IHP
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and respond to medical emergencies promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care, treatments, and communications in accordance with school and state policies
• Coordinate substitute nursing coverage as required to ensure continuous care
• Participate in orientation and training as requested by the school to remain compliant with procedures and policies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary staff to support student health and school participation
• Adhere to FERPA/HIPAA confidentiality rules, mandated-reporting laws, and all state nursing regulations; work is strictly on-site (no telehealth)
