School-Based 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) — Poplar Bluff, MO (Temporary Through 7/2026)

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license in good standing
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Must pass Family Care Safety Registry and FBI fingerprint background checks
• Professional liability insurance meeting state requirements
• Minimum 1 year pediatric, school, or developmental-disability experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for work within an educational setting

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to a student during the school day and while traveling to and from home
• Deliver care per the student’s IEP and Individual Health Plan (IHP)
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and respond to medical emergencies
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of care, treatments, and communications
• Coordinate substitute nursing coverage when absent, per school requirements
• Attend required orientations and training to remain current with school procedures and policies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary staff to support student health and participation
• Perform all duties on-site; remote work/telehealth not permitted
• Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and HIPAA; comply with state mandated-reporting laws and nursing regulations

• Travel on the school bus with the assigned student is required daily.
