We’re looking for a full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our team in Franklin, NH. This position starts ASAP and follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.
What we need from you
- A valid Speech‑Language Pathologist license in the practicing state(s) or documentation showing eligibility.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise clinical fellows, temporary licensees, students, and support staff according to state licensure rules and professional standards.
- Follow department schedules and patient treatment plans, complete required clinical and billing documentation, and participate in work-related meetings.
- Take part in patient care conferences and other interdisciplinary meetings, contributing your clinical perspective.
- Refer patients to other disciplines or community agencies when additional services are needed.
- Work with the rehab team and physicians to choose and adjust therapeutic regimens for each patient.
- Tailor therapy plans to each patient’s unique needs and abilities.
- Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing fire and safety hazards.
- Order supplies and equipment, keep equipment clean, and report repair needs.
- Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care that respects individual rights and goals.
- Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and develop treatment plans.
- Deliver and document speech‑language pathology services across a range of areas, including cognitive‑communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor function, dysphagia/swallowing, perceptual skills, orientation and memory, pragmatics, psychosocial communication, functional communication, and case management.
- Train and coordinate patients in the use of adaptive communication devices.
- Identify possible hearing deficits and refer for further assessment or rehabilitation as appropriate.
- Choose therapy activities that match patients’ physical and cognitive abilities, interests, and needs.
- Teach therapeutic techniques, monitor progress, and evaluate patients’ attitudes and behaviors.
- Conduct routine re‑evaluations and adjust treatment plans as patients progress or needs change.
- Coordinate home and community care plans with the interdisciplinary team and referring physicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
