Requirements:

• Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist or proof of eligibility
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support staff per state and professional standards
• Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide and document SLP services across areas including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral-motor function, swallowing disorders, perceptual skills, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial communication, functional communication, and case management
• Coordinate, instruct, and train patients in use of adaptive communication devices
• Identify hearing deficits and refer for audiology assessment or rehabilitation as needed
• Consult with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to select and adapt therapeutic regimens
• Conduct routine re-examinations and modify treatment plans based on patient progress
• Coordinate home and community care with the interdisciplinary team and referring physician
• Adhere to department schedules, clinical and billing documentation, and attend patient care conferences and related meetings
• Order, maintain, and clean supplies and equipment; report repair needs
• Ensure a safe treatment environment and address fire/safety hazards
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care that respects individual needs and rights
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
