  • Compensation: $55 per hour
Requirements:
  • Certification as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support educational decisions
  • Knowledge of positive behavior support (PBIS) and universal strategies for managing behavioral concerns
  • Skilled in administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments
  • Strong understanding of Special Education Law under the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
  • Proven ability to develop and implement modifications and accommodations for diverse learners
  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations within school environments
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with staff, families, and community partners
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards
Responsibilities:
  • Serve students across assigned schools within the school district
  • Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations of students
  • Identify barriers to learning and recommend effective instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Support individualized instruction and develop data-driven intervention plans
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret academic and behavioral data
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff and parents on student needs
  • Refer and coordinate with community agencies for additional student support
  • Participate in school-based support and crisis intervention teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records and documentation
  • Stay current with best practices and developments in school psychology
  • Report directly to the Building Principal(s) and Executive Director of Student Support Services
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors
