What we’re looking for

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Michigan SLP license
• ASHA CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
• Strong knowledge of standardized and informal assessment tools for communication disorders
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and to design effective therapy plans
• Reliable on-site availability (remote work not accepted)
• Residence within a 45-minute commute of the school to ensure timely coverage

Key responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication skills to identify needs
• Conduct evaluations in line with MARSE standards, district guidelines, and ASHA best practices
• Write clear, detailed diagnostic summaries with actionable recommendations
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and team members about student progress
• Track and document student progress using measurable goals and short-term objectives
• Complete accurate and timely Medicaid billing for provided services
• Participate in school-based teams to support pre-referral interventions and make referrals for additional services when needed
• Deliver direct speech and language therapy targeting expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills
