Job Description

Are you a physician with a strong clinical background in primary care and/or procedures? Do you enjoy practicing medicine with total health and rehabilitation in mind? Enjoy a 6 to 8-hour workday with no overnight call? TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate and driven physician to join our post-acute care team in the Canton, North Carolina, area. This is a part-time, in-person rounding, leadership opportunity in a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. You will have an opportunity to deliver exceptional care during life's pivotal moments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Monitor progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a team approach
  • Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations

Qualifications
  • Current medical license (State of North Carolina) and DEA
  • Experience in post-acute, acute, emergency medicine, or clinic settings preferred but not required; new grads welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook
  • Able to commute, relocate, and provide in person rounding in Canton, North Carolina

Compensation is fee for service (FFS). Expected compensation is estimated range of $127,524 - $148,228 annually with no cap on productivity income potential.
