Job Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide part-time Emergency Medicine coverage in Illinois. This new role supports increased departmental volume with a primary focus on weekend coverage and intermittent weekday shifts.
Position Details
- Specialty: Emergency Medicine NP or PA
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
- Licenses: Active Illinois license, DEA, CSR
- Experience: Minimum 1 year
- EMR: Epic
Schedule
- Monday: 10a–10p and 3p–3a
- Tuesday–Friday: 10a–10p
- Saturday & Sunday: 12p–12a
- Estimated Shifts/Month: 10
- On-Call: None
- Privileges: Full privileges
- Projected Privileging Time: 90 days
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Perform assessments, procedures, and manage urgent and emergent cases
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with the daily management of an ED census averaging 60 patients
