Job Details
Schedule: 24-hour call with ~8 hours rounding daily

Facility Setting: Inpatient
Units Covered: Level I & II Nursery, ED, Family Birth Center
Average Callback: 8.4 weekdays / 6.5 weekends

Average Daily Census:
Pediatric Med/Surg Unit: 0–4 patients (avg. 1–2)
Newborns: 2–6 per day
EMR: Patient Keeper (interfaces with Meditech)

FTE: 1.0

Responsibilities
Attend to inpatient pediatric and ED consults
Round on newborns in the Family Birth Center
Stabilize and transfer critical patients
Participate in high-risk deliveries only as needed (~1–2 per month)
No circumcisions performed at this site

Procedures Required
Lumbar puncture
Endotracheal intubation / ventilation management
Umbilical line placement
Neonatal resuscitation
IVIG administration
**Deal Breakers: Must have performed ≥2 of the following in the past 24 months: endotracheal intubation, newborn management, spinal tap/lumbar puncture, umbilical line placement

Requirements
Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics – Required
Active Oregon license – Required
DEA – Required
Clean malpractice and disciplinary history – Highly preferred
Must be local (no flights)
Availability for listed dates – Required
