Friday 7:00 AM → Monday 7:00 AM
Call Type: Beeper call (no onsite requirement unless needed)

Start Date: February 1, 2026
End Date: Ongoing Need

Temporary privileges may allow a January start for clean files
Setting: Inpatient
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Epic
Support: 5 APPs available day & night; they respond first
Expected Volume: Low; provider only called in for emergency surgeries

Requirements
Texas medical license (required)
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible

Certifications:
BLS
ACLS
ATLS
20–30 min call response time

Clinical Skills Needed (Orthopaedic Surgery)

Preferred:
Arthroscopy
Total joint replacement (hip, knee, other)
Hand procedures
Tendon repair/release
Peripheral nerve procedures

Not Required:
Joint revisions
Spine surgery (cervical, thoracic, lumbar; with or without instrumentation)
Major open/laparoscopic ortho procedures outside emergent needs

Other Details
Provider will cover both assigned & unassigned patients
No admissions required
No teaching or supervision
Low-volume emergency-only call environment
