Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Long Term Care | Contract, Santa Fe, NM

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Santa Fe, NM team on a 5-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel role with a 06:00 AM–06:30 PM schedule and a pay rate of $1,109 per 36 hours.

What you’ll bring

• Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and accurate documentation. Typical duties include:

• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Perform focused patient assessments (vitals, medication review, brief physical checks) and help develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and administered treatments in the medical record
• Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and watch for signs of infection or complications
• Insert, monitor, and maintain IV lines and urinary catheters as needed
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort measures
• Provide patient and family education about conditions, medications, and self-care
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support when required
• Follow strict infection control practices and safe medication/storage/disposal procedures
• Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patients’ rights and needs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, and in some cases, supervise CNAs or other assistive personnel
• Stay current with nursing best practices through ongoing education
• Other duties as assigned by management
