We’re looking for an experienced LPN to join a contract, non-travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This role starts ASAP for approximately 6 weeks, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Compensation is $1,012 for a 36-hour week.

What we need from you

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Mexico
  • Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include:

  • Administering medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
  • Performing wound care, dressing changes, and monitoring incisions for infection or complications
  • Taking and documenting vital signs and other clinical observations
  • Conducting focused patient assessments (history, basic physical checks, medication reviews) and contributing to individualized care plans
  • Assisting with IV therapy—inserting and maintaining lines and monitoring IV medications/fluids
  • Caring for patients with urinary catheters, including maintenance and complication monitoring
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures
  • Supporting patient comfort and safety (positioning, mobility assistance, pain management)
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support as needed
  • Following strict infection control practices and handling/disposing of medications and supplies appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient documentation and reporting changes in condition
  • Collaborating closely with the healthcare team (RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs) to ensure coordinated care
  • Occasionally supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
  • Participating in ongoing training to stay current with nursing best practices
  • Other duties as assigned by management
