We’re looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join a team in Coventry, RI on a 13-week contract, starting ASAP. This is a day-shift role (08:00 AM–04:30 PM). Compensation: Travel: $1,677/35 hours; Local: $1,652/35 hours.
What you’ll need
- Active, valid Respiratory Therapy state license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
What you’ll do
- Assess patients’ respiratory status, including lung function and oxygenation, and use that information to develop individualized care plans
- Provide respiratory treatments and interventions to relieve distress and improve pulmonary function
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, adjusting settings as patients’ conditions change
- Respond quickly and appropriately to respiratory emergencies following established protocols
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, therapies, and at-home care
- Maintain and clean respiratory equipment to meet safety and infection-control standards
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in a timely manner
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other team members to coordinate care
- Adhere to quality assurance and regulatory guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
