Locum Tenens Pediatric Hospitalist — Lake Havasu City, AZ

We’re seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This locum tenens role begins ASAP and continues on an ongoing basis to support scheduling needs. You’ll work primarily Monday–Thursday with split shifts (8:00–12:00, 1:00–5:00) and Friday mornings (8:00–12:00). Call is beeper-based, about 10 days per month on a rotating schedule, with a 30-minute response expectation and minimal phone consults.

You’ll care for pediatric patients across an 8-bed department in a hospital that’s Trauma Level III and Pediatric Level I. Responsibilities include admissions and daily rounding. The practice uses Athena in clinic and Medhost in the hospital; lab and X‑ray are on-site and the clinic has CLIA-waived testing.

Clinical expectations and skills:

• General pediatric inpatient care
• Non-invasive ventilation and ventilation management for newborns and children
• Intubation for newborns and pediatric patients
• EKG interpretation
• Familiarity with newborn/pediatric ventilation techniques

Support and backup:

• Front office staff, medical assistant, and office manager in clinic
• Full hospital diagnostic and OR support
• Specialty backup 24/7: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Radiology, Anesthesia, Laboratory, OR support
• Local provider coverage available on rotation

Logistics and requirements:

• Hospital privileges required
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
• Active Arizona medical license or participation in IMLC required
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• Current PALS and NRP
