Locum Tenens Pulmonologist — Hospital-Based, Epic, Cooperstown NY (Travel/Lodging Covered)

We’re seeking a Pulmonology physician to cover clinical shifts at a hospital in Cooperstown, NY. This is a locum tenens opportunity with an ASAP start through September 2026, working typical daytime hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Who you’ll care for
You’ll manage adult patients with a variety of pulmonology conditions. The facility averages a high patient volume (about 1,418 patient visits per day), so you’ll see a steady mix of pulmonary cases.

The facility and team
This is a Level 3 trauma center using Epic for charting. You’ll be supported by an APP and two on-staff MDs, allowing for collaborative care and shared coverage.

Privileges, credentialing, and onboarding
Hospital privileges are required. Expect a credentialing timeline of roughly 60–120 days, and you’ll complete standard onboarding and credentialing processes before starting.

Compensation and logistics
Rate is to be determined. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Qualifications we’re looking for

• Active New York medical license required
• Board certified in Pulmonology
• DEA registration required
• Prior pulmonology experience required
• Epic experience preferred

Typical responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage inpatient pulmonology patients
• Collaborate with APP and MD colleagues
• Perform procedures as required (once privileges are confirmed)
• Complete onboarding and credentialing tasks in a timely manner
