We’re looking for a licensed MD or DO with residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to join a part-time outpatient team in Cameron County, Texas. You’ll deliver direct patient care in an integrated behavioral health setting, managing chronic and complex medical conditions and supporting patients’ medical and behavioral health needs.

What we’re looking for (requirements)

  • MD or DO degree with residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Current, unrestricted Texas medical license (no history of sanctions)
  • Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Current DEA registration, NPI, and CPR/BLS certification
  • ECFMG certification if applicable
  • Up-to-date required immunizations
  • Successful completion of drug testing, fingerprinting, and facility/agency training before start
  • Outpatient clinical experience managing chronic illnesses is preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

  • Provide onsite, direct patient care during your assigned half-day schedule, Monday–Friday
  • Take complete medical histories, perform physical exams, and conduct diagnostic evaluations
  • Manage chronic medical conditions, address acute needs, and treat behavioral health issues in an integrated care model
  • Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies, including imaging
  • Create and maintain individualized disease management and treatment plans
  • Document all care accurately in the EMR and complete required reports on time
  • Send electronic prescriptions and keep medical records current
  • Participate in clinic quality improvement activities and maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, CMS, and other regulatory standards
  • Provide evidence-based care consistent with credentialing and privileging requirements
  • When needed, treat minor workplace injuries to staff and support disaster response or COOP activities that may require alternate schedules or locations
  • Complete any additional assigned duties and ensure timely submission of required service documentation
