Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our child and adolescent inpatient team in Kansas City, Kansas. This is a weekend-focused role ideal for a provider seeking consistent weekend work within a supportive inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for child and adolescent inpatients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed care
- Supervise and coordinate care plans alongside attending psychiatrists and nursing staff
- Ensure timely and compliant documentation of all clinical services
- Inpatient, onsite only
- Children and adolescents
- Approximately 16 patients per day
- Licensed PMHNP in the state of Kansas (or eligible for licensure)
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry, particularly with children and adolescents, strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a consistent weekend caseload independently
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
