Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our child, adolescent & adult inpatient team in Olathe, Kansas. This is an innovative schedule that is designed to provide a lot of free time during the weekdays while supporting the weekday providers on weekends. This weekend-focused role ideal for a provider seeking consistent weekend work within a supportive inpatient environment. This role also covers weekday PTO coverages with advanced notice. This will be ideal for providers looking for additional free time during the weekdays. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for child and adolescent inpatients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed care
  • Supervise and coordinate care plans alongside attending psychiatrists and nursing staff
  • Ensure timely and compliant documentation of all clinical services
  • Inpatient, onsite only
  • All ages
  • Approximately 16 patients per day

Qualifications:
  • Licensed PMHNP in the state of Kansas (or eligible for licensure)
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatry, particularly with children and adolescents, strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage a consistent weekend caseload independently
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
