We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide locum tenens coverage in a rural Emergency Medicine setting in Elkader, Iowa. This role offers a unique opportunity to function as the sole on-site provider, covering both the Emergency Department and Med/Surg unit.
Position Details
- Setting: Emergency Department + Med/Surg
- Shift Type: Day shifts
- Role: Sole provider on-site
- Daily Patient Volume:
- ER: ~3.6 patients/day
- Med/Surg Census: ~1.4 patients/day
- EMR: EPIC
Requirements
- Active Iowa PA/NP License
- DEA and CSR
- Experience in Emergency Medicine or acute care required
- Ability to work independently in a low-volume, rural hospital setting
