Locus Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient pediatric and newborn care at a community-based hospital in Roseburg, Oregon. This role includes 24-hour call coverage, rounding responsibilities, and management of pediatric and neonatal patients in multiple care settings.

 

Position Details

 

• Shift: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Rounding: 8 hours of rounding included within the 24-hour shift
• Weekend Coverage: Required as part of the schedule
• Average Callbacks:
• Weekdays: 8.44
• Weekends: 6.49

• Inpatient Pediatrics
• Level II Nursery
• Level I Nursery
• Emergency Department (consults)
• Family Birth Center

 

Responsibilities

 

• Serve as the Attending Physician for inpatient pediatrics and ED pediatric consults
• Round on inpatient pediatric patients and newborns in the Family Birth Center
• Perform stabilization of critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients prior to transfer
• Provide timely and accurate documentation in the medical record

 

Required Procedural Competencies

 

• Lumbar puncture
• Intubations
• Umbilical line placement
• Neonatal resuscitation

 

Qualifications

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Active Oregon medical license
• Active DEA
