Locum Tenens Breast Radiologist — MUSC Columbia, SC (Onsite; Fellowship Required)

We’re seeking a breast radiologist to provide onsite coverage for MUSC Health in Columbia, SC, and Kershaw Medical Center. This locum tenens position focuses exclusively on clinical breast imaging—both screening and diagnostic studies—for an adult patient population. Coverage begins 01/05/2026 and will continue on an ongoing basis until a permanent hire is in place. Initial confirmed shifts include January 28 and January 30, 2026, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with additional dates to follow.

What you’ll do

• Interpret screening and diagnostic breast imaging studies and maintain MQSA compliance (24 months of case logs required).
• Work onsite (no telehealth) across hospital and imaging center settings, supporting imaging and diagnostic workflows at MUSC sites.
• Use Epic for charting and complete required hospital modules and Epic personalization (a $500 flat rate is paid upon completion).

Who we’re looking for

• Physicians only; breast imaging fellowship required.
• Board eligible within 5 years.
• Active South Carolina medical license or FCVS required for temporary privileges (pending background clearance).
• Prior academic experience is not required.

Facility & support

• Sites: MUSC Health Imaging Center Columbia and Kershaw Medical Center.
• EMR: Epic.
• You’ll have radiology and hospital support staff available.
• A dosimetry badge is required at the start (agency to provide; reimbursable up to $200).

Logistics & compensation

• Travel, lodging, and car rental are covered; toll pass convenience coverage is not provided.
• Malpractice insurance is covered.
• $500 flat rate for completing hospital modules and Epic personalization upon completion.

Credentials & compliance

• Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available while credentialing is processed.
• MQSA compliance and a 24-month case log are required.
