We’re looking for a board-certified cardiologist to provide inpatient coverage in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a locum tenens role with the possibility to transition to perm. You’ll work solo on a 7-on/7-off night schedule (7pm–7am), handling an average patient census of about 15–19. Coverage starts Dec 31, 2025 and continues ongoing, primarily as supplemental clinical coverage.
Typical responsibilities include performing TEEs, supervising nuclear cardiology studies, and rounding on inpatients. There are no Echo, Nuclear, or EKG reads required in the EMR (Muse), and no APP supervision is needed. The facility is a Level II trauma center and uses Cerner for charting.
What’s provided: travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.
Requirements: an active Indiana license (or participation in IMLC), board certification in cardiology, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
