Travel RN First Assistant (CVOR) — Columbia, MO (Contract)

Join a contract/travel team in Columbia, MO as a Registered Nurse supporting the CVOR as a First Assistant. Start ASAP; day shift 6:45 AM–5:15 PM. Compensation: $3,128 per 40-hour week.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Experience in cardiovascular operating room or cardiac surgery; first-assist experience preferred.
• Strong perioperative clinical and surgical skills, with excellent communication.
• BLS required; CNOR and First Assistant certification preferred.

Core responsibilities:

• Serve as the surgeon’s first assistant during CVOR procedures (suturing, retraction, hemostasis).
• Prepare patients and the CVOR environment, maintaining sterile technique and instrument readiness.
• Monitor intraoperative patient status, respond to changes, and document surgical interventions.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient care.
