Travel RN – Float Psychiatric (Nights) — Holyoke, MA

Location: Holyoke, MA | Start: ASAP | Type: Contract/Travel | Shift: Nights (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Rate: $2,424/40 hrs

Join a multidisciplinary team as a psychiatric float RN providing overnight coverage across units. You will assess and monitor patients’ mental health, administer medications and treatments safely, support therapeutic activities, and deliver patient and family education. Accurate documentation and timely communication of clinical changes to physicians, therapists, and nursing staff are essential.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• Psychiatric or mental health nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and communication skills
• BLS required; psychiatric certifications a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular mental health assessments and monitor patient status
• Safely administer medications and implement treatment plans
• Facilitate therapeutic activities and provide education to patients and families
• Maintain clear, thorough documentation and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate across units with physicians, therapists, and nursing colleagues
